We didn’t set out to become data experts. It just happened.

We spent years working in IT and software development, solving problems across different systems, applications, and organizations. Over time, we found ourselves asking the same question again and again:

“Is this really always just a data problem?”

Nine times out of ten, it was.

Data was trapped in emails, spreadsheets, PDFs, legacy applications, databases, APIs, and disconnected systems. The specific problem might have been different, but the solution was often remarkably similar: get the data, clean it up, transform it, and put it where it needs to go.

We got tired of building the same solution over and over.

Custom software works, but building a new integration for every company and every workflow gets expensive.

We realized that many of the solutions we were building didn’t need to be one-off projects. They could become reusable, configurable tools that solve the same problems for many different companies.

That’s why we created ZenParse.

Our goal is to take the data automation problems we’ve encountered repeatedly in the real world and turn their solutions into practical, accessible software.

Your data should remain yours.

We also saw another trend we didn’t like: vendor lock-in.

Modern cloud platforms offer excellent tools, but they can also introduce additional infrastructure, storage, compute costs, proprietary technologies, and platform dependencies. We believe those should be choices—not prerequisites.

Our philosophy is simple:

Your tools should work with your infrastructure—not force your infrastructure to work around them.

Whenever possible, ZenParse products are designed to give you control over where your software runs, where your data is stored, and what happens to it next.

Our Email Extractor is a good example. It automatically searches your Microsoft 365 email using criteria you define, downloads the attachments you need, and saves them directly to destinations you control. Your extracted files don’t need to sit in our cloud waiting for you to retrieve them.

They’re your files. They should go where you want them to go.

Extract. Transform. Load. Your way.

The same philosophy guides the other tools we’re building.

We want to make it easier to extract data from the systems you already use, transform it with rules you control, and deliver it wherever your business needs it.

That might mean a database, a CRM through its API, an Excel file, another business system, or simply emailing the finished data to the person who needs it.

Where configuration makes sense, we favor open, widely understood formats such as JSON and YAML rather than locking important business logic behind proprietary interfaces.

The technology should adapt to your workflow—not the other way around.

Get your data. Make it useful. Put it where it belongs.
